BARMM, 7 Oct 2019 –During the Battle of Badr, Caliph Umar pressured his captive to divulge their numbers but he refused.
The Prophet asked the captive: “How many camel are slaughtered by your group in a day?” He said, “9-10 camels a day”.
The Prophet told to Caliph Umar, “Now you know their estimated numbers”.
Statistically, if 1 camel is consumed by 100 soldiers per day then it is presumed that the soldiers are about 1,000.
Thus, statistics is made simple!
